In the beginning, we implemented three different systems for digital proofing before the proofing technology matured to allow the consistency and quality to meet the demands of our customers. We finally decided on the Creo Spectrum for our high-resolution digital proofing solution. This system has proven to provide a near perfect match for our pressroom reproduction systems and digital workflow.
Using the same input file, resolution, screen ruling, screen angles, and spot function, the Spectrum eliminates many of the variables present in other proofing processes.
Under critical inspection, Spectrum-imaged proofs are comparable to press sheets, exhibiting similar dot gain and highlight structures.
The Spectrum proof is the best choice for Color Critical applications where product color match is necessary.
