At State Printing, quality management provides the foundation for every aspect of our production process. From measurement and calibration of proofing devices, to job workflow checklists, to plate measurement and logging, we are dedicated to maintaining a consistent and repeatable reproduction process that provides the best quality possible. This is how we live because this is what it takes to achieve our goal of exceeding your expectations!
In Late 2004, State Printing began working through the ISO 9001:2000 certification process. In preparation for the certification, we defined our workflows and documented our operating procedures. An extensive training process was implemented to insure that each employee knew the procedures necessary to properly perform their job. This provides the foundation for our quality management system.
An extensive audit in August 2005 was done to test our implementation of the ISO standards and to assure that we had properly trained our employees in the methods and protocols of the ISO procedures. We passed with flying colors!
In September 2005, we were awarded ISO 9001:2000 - ANSI/ISO/ASQ Q9001-2000 certification.
Although receiving this certification is a great achievement for our team, it is only the beginning of an ongoing commitment to improving everything we do. It gives us a roadmap whereby we will continue to seek ways to improve our quality, our workflows, and, most importantly, the experience you have each time you work with the our Team.
In 2006, we will implement process improvement and problem solving teams to establish a formal process for the ongoing improvement of all that we do. During early 2006, we will implement the principles of 5S for workplace organization and productivity improvement. Stay tuned for more exciting developments in our quality management system.
